Hayley Spitler is a Chicagoland native and a senior broadcast journalism student at Loyola University Chicago. In addition to her journalism bachelor's degree, she is also anticipating graduating with a minor in marketing. Hayley has a passion for storytelling and doing so in an ethical and just way. From sports and entertainment, to local and breaking news, Hayley has covered it all. She is the executive producer of Rambler Sports Locker, the only student-run broadcast show at Loyola.
So far in her career, she has attended and covered Loyola’s 2018 NCAA tournament run and the national championship game. Hayley traveled to Dallas, Atlanta, and San Antonio in Loyola’s run to the Final Four. Prior to that she covered the entire 2018 MVC tournament, known as Arch Madness, in St. Louis. It was the first time that Loyola walked away Arch Madness Champions and she was honored to be there to tell their story and document history. Hayley has also attended a Chicago Bulls game as official media and was able to interview players and coaches postgame.
She enjoys laughing through life and working in high-pressure situations. Hayley loves to look for the best angle of a story and chase after it. From researching and interviewing to recording and editing, she likes to follow the story from beginning to end. Hayley believes that everyone’s story deserves to be told and she hopes to be the one who gets to tell it.
When she’s not working towards her degree or producing Rambler Sports Locker, you can probably catch Hayley cheering on the Chicago Cubs, eating at RPM Italian, spending time with her five siblings, or watching Bravo and E! News and keeping herself in the know with all things pop culture.
